Sbongakonke Ntombela

Sbongakonke Ntombela is the founder of Rubicon Era, bringing over 15 years of experience across corporate affairs, procurement, stakeholder management, and communications.

Her career began in marketing and communications, spending a decade building corporate reputation, media relations, and stakeholder campaigns across corporate, healthcare, and ICT environments. A later move into procurement, buying and managing supplier contracts within the logistics sector, exposed her directly to the operational realities of supply chain management: the negotiations, the risk, and the relationships that keep a supply chain functioning under pressure.

That shift became the foundation for Rubicon Era. Today, alongside lecturing supply chain management at tertiary level, she brings a rare dual lens to her speaking, consulting, and facilitation work: real-world stakeholder and operational experience paired with the frameworks used to train tomorrow's supply chain professionals.

Why "Rubicon Era"

Rubicon Era: because supply chains, organizations, and industries have already crossed into a new normal. The name reflects a point of no return: the old ways of managing suppliers, teams, and change no longer hold, and the work now is building what comes next.
